Here are a few tips to improve blind scan performance on the AzBox Ultra and Premium HD Plus models:

  • Increase the minimum SR rate in Blindscan parameters from 1000 to 1500 or even 2000 every time before doing a blind scan. This is assuming you are not looking for low SR rate transponders of course but will greatly increase the scanning speed. Most wild feeds are at least 2000 SR anyways so you will miss very little by doing this.
  • As all existing transponders contained in the list of the satellite being scanned are scanned after the first phase of the blind scan process finds any currently active transponders, performance will be improved if any dead transponders are deleted from time to time before doing a scan.  However before starting to delete transponders, please make sure to delete any channels associated with them if any.  Some people prefer to make a channel list backup once their receiver is configured and to simply restore the backup before starting to feedhunt in order to avoid having to delete transponders every time.

IMPORTANT: Please make sure to ALWAYS leave AT LEAST 1 transponder on each satellite as the list will become corrupted if you don't do so.
